Interfaces Development
Business Problem
In the past, an agricultural department hired a service to make use of geospatial data and satellite images to check the features of a farming area that were included in farmers' forms. This necessitated a centralized data storage for the office and the service to exchange data in a recurring manner, yet this strategy of data trade was quite time consuming.
Business Solution
To significantly decrease the amount of time it takes to process an order, a direct link must be established. An interface should be created to facilitate this.
Technical Solution
During the initial conversations, the details for the new interfaces were already outlined and it was determined that REST ought to be used for transferring information and reporting statuses. Since the service was unable to offer the interfaces yet, a microservice was put in place to imitate the identified interfaces and provisionally support the development and testing procedures.
